PEI’s mission is to increase the number of highly-qualified Pilates instructors across the world by empowering Pilates studio owners to transform their businesses into teacher training studios with a comprehensive, easy-to-teach curriculum.

We know that as the Pilates Method is becoming more popular for fitness, rehab, and life-changing events, there is a clear need for more qualified Pilates teachers
We want to empower you, the studio owner, to expand your business, create your own pipeline of teachers and build a larger, stronger community of Pilates practitioners.
HOW WE TEACH PILATES MATTERS
Pilates teachers must have a solid education that emphasizes recognizing each client as an individual with different needs and goals.
Instead of focusing on memorizing and reciting sequences, our curriculum allows you to put the focus on your student teachers’ understanding of their clients’ needs. No matter who your student teachers are or how they connect with their future students, a deep understanding of the body and the Pilates principles will empower them to teach meaningful, safe lessons to all students.
A PILATES STUDIO SHOULD MAKE MONEY
A love of helping others and achieving financial success should not be mutually exclusive. We believe that all Pilates teachers should make a good income and that your Pilates studio should have a strong cash flow. Expanding a studio’s offerings increases its revenue and provides jobs for more teachers.
OUR HISTORY
PEI was originally started in 2012 as a way to support the founder’s studio’s growth by training more teachers without needing to outsource to other training facilities.
It quickly became clear how beneficial an in-house training without ties to a branded teacher training program was to the studio by providing quality teachers and increasing revenue. The program was offered to other Pilates studio owners worldwide as a teacher training business kit designed to allow studios the freedom to design a training suited to their needs and their student teachers.
PEI began with a simple mission: to provide teacher training materials for Pilates studios, clubs, and gyms to train their teachers. In 2016, the curriculum went digital and became increasingly accessible to studios everywhere. The digital platform underwent a major overhaul in 2021 and 2022 to improve usability, add more features, and better reflect professional updates in the PEI standards of curriculum teaching.
Currently, PEI’s curriculum has been implemented in 13 countries and counting.
